Patrick Caulfield, CBE
Patrick Joseph Caulfield, CBE, (1936-2005) was an English Pop Art painter and print-maker known for his bold canvases, which often incorporated elements of Photorealism within a pared down scene. Examples of his work are Pottery and Still Life Ingredients. He was a nominee for the Turner Prize.
Patrick Caulfield designed the Milord cushion in 1992 and the needlework cover for this 19th century Prie Dieu or Kneeler on which it rests in 1995.
